For years, if you wanted to secure dedicated lanes and shuttle runs on Amazon Relay, you had to go through the RFP (Request for Proposal) portal. It wasn’t the easiest system to navigate, and many carriers didn’t even know it existed. But for those who did, it was a way to lock in long-term lanes at fixed rates.
However, over the last few weeks, something big has been happening. If you’ve tried accessing the RFP portal (here’s the link), you might have noticed that it has been on and off—sometimes working, sometimes not. That’s because Amazon is phasing it out. Instead, they’re moving everything to the Auctions tab on the Amazon Relay Loadboard.
This shift brings both good and bad news.
